Organic Farming / Permaculture Adventure in the Rainforest and on the Beach - Starting January 2010
Get Primitive! Experience off-the-grid living in Paradise!
Immediate opportunities are available for various volunteer projects. . We are continuing with planting and various other aspects of our Permaculture organic farm. For future volunteers, this will be a unique and once in a lifetime chance to have the opportunity to volunteer in Costa Rica and experience the eco adventure of a lifetime. We will be planting and designing our sustainable organic farm while building and living in primitive structures and tents. This is for the eco-adventurous who would love to experience living primitively in the rainforest and on the beach.
The Gaia Vista rainforest property is a magical place with 3 streams, a river, over a dozen waterfalls and swimming holes; all in primary rainforest overlooking the Pacific Ocean. We are an off-the-grid, off-the-road experience, and it is a short hike into our property. Seven or eight acres of our property were cleared in years past and it is on this land that we are going to be starting to plant our organic smorgasbord of over 30 varieties of fruit trees etc. We will also be living on the beach...see below.

Green Building / Primitive Indigineous construction Adventure Volunteers- Starting January 2010
We are looking for eco adventurous construction people to help construct some primitive ranchos on our sister project in the area, we also may possibly be constructing our first tree house in Ewok village. Escape the rat race completely, and hang out and camp in the rainforest and on the beach with a like minded group of people. We are presently looking for general construction help and project leaders for this initial primitive indigenous construction and also for our sustainable agriculture / permaculture / organic farm project. If you have the fantasy of volunteering to build homes in Costa Rica then this is the perfect opportunity to build some primitive huts etcetera.
We are primarily looking for people to help build primitive huts, ranchos, treehouses, hiking trails and much more. We are divining for consciious eco pioneers who want to help out with Phase I construction and also experience living priimitivly off-the-grid.
Bonus Fun - Our Beach Property
As an added bonus, we will also be spending some of our time camping on the beach on our lower property and will start planting and building there also; plus, just hanging out and having fun of course. Our beach property is on the point of a 6 mile long private island that is only about 200 yards off shore. Escape civilization, grab some friends, meet some new friends and experience being one with nature. Original eco pioneers will also be able to experience the future fruits of our labor, and will be able to come back and be a part of our initial community and be able to stay at Gaia Vista again at some future time when we are fully operational.

Global Volunteers
We are looking for Volunteers Worldwide to help with various aspects of the Creation of The Gaia Vista Eco Resort & Sustainabilty Center.
We are also presently looking for general office & computer assistance, green writers, grant writers, video production and editing help, marketing people, and anyone who would like to help and contribute in some way. All global volunteers are welcome to visit Gaia Vista for free once all construction is completed.

Scholarships & Volunteer Expenses
We will be accepting volunteer applications for paying volunteers, and also for a select few chosen for our scholarship program. If you have specific experience that you believe would assist us, and/or you have maigical energy or extenuating circumstances then please ask us about our different types of volunteer scholarship programs. For all other volunteers A sliding scale fee will be charged.
Other Volunteer opportunities beginning in 2010
Some of the things that that future volunteers will be doing are:
- Designing and growing two separate organic farms using permaculture principles.
- Costa Rica conservation volunteers will be assisting with the maintenance and development of a sustainable rotating network of hiking trails along the river, and in the hills of this incredibly beautiful rainforest valley.
- Reintroducing the Tapir and the tepesquintle into our rainforest reserve. Their populations have dwindled due to accelerated hunting over the last few years. Another aspect of this is to work with local hunters in the area and encourage them to stop this destructive practice
- Researching and studying the rainforest in our Gaia Rainforest Preserve.
- Working on several of our own web based environmental projects in our solar wi-fi internet communication center. The Gaia Vista web projects will be working on fostering collaboration among environmental organizations, and educating the world at large about the problems and solutions for achieving sustainability.
- Assisting with any other aspect that we may need help with.
